CPA Series 60

Powered carriages are moved by means of ¼ hp; 90 volt DC gear motors. Motor controllers provide for soft start / soft stop. This allows users to move hundreds of thousands of pounds by activating the central safety and movement control unit. Multiple carriages can be moved on a single activation. This mobility allows for compaction of the storage media and yet accessible on demand. The compaction allows for substantial square footage freed up for other value added operations or of course increased capacity up to 75% within the original storage area.

Compact’s series 60 has the capacity to handle up to 60,000 pounds of storage per side by side pallet rack assemblies. Due to this extreme load guidance rails are required to be embedded into the floor with footings poured to support the rails, then a second concrete pour finished the floor for a flush rail application. Series 60 offers solution too many heavy duty storage applications, in some cases Compact will manufacture our series 60 base to locate storage media directly on the carriage, examples below.

Compact’s series 60 is a UL listed system; it’s equipped with Infrared photoelectric safety sweeps that scan the full length of both sides of each carriage. Safety sweeps will prevent or immediately stop movement if an obstruction is encountered or the beam is broken. Both an audible horn and amber light are activated 3 seconds prior to carriage movement.

Compact’s series 60 mobile carriage is powered by ¼ HP; DC motors, with direct chain drive to the wheel assembly. Each carriage (photo of two side by side pallet racks) is capable of handling up to 60,000lbs of weight.

Compact’s Series 60 can be activated by pushing the control panel activation buttons, remote activation, and hand held up to 20’ or RF technology ranging from 350’ – 1000 feet.
